"This dress can be casual or dressy. The cotton is good quality, thick enough to hold its shape yet cool for summer. The length and simplicity with the slight A-line is perfect for my body shape. The embroidery across the neckline is pretty but I would have preferred that it ran along the full length rather than just halfway."
"Received this 'Fuchsia'/Hot Pink colored dress yesterday morning and wore it for a get together in the evening. This was the first time I wore a dress from Hatley made from 'French Terry' fabric (and the 'Brooke' line of dresses) and bought it in M - although I usually buy other Hatley dresses also made from the same combination of 56% Cotton, 38%Modal, 6% Spandex i. e the Bella line in S (The reason for doing so was because according to the description it had only a "hint of stretch" vs the "moderate stretch" of the Bella dresses and also had sleeves -unlike the Bella line - which I didn't want to be too tight in the underarm area). But, the feel and look of the fabric of the Bella is so different from this Brooke line. Nevertheless, I was mostly very pleased with how this dress felt on the skin, looked on my petite body, as well the subtle embroidery on the neckline. I received a lot of compliments for both the color and how it looked on me. The only thing that made me give it a 4 star rating instead of 5 was that the neckline was a bit wide and stood outa bit/away from the neck area of my body. But, I don't think it was noticeable as I only received compliments on how it looked on me. :-)"
