5 Easy Halloween Dishes for Kids

Family

1. Frankenstein avocado toast

You'll need: slices of bread, ripe avocados, sliced black olives, red peppers, and a knife.

Toast your slices of bread. Cut open the avocados, scoop them out, and spread across the toast. Cut the red pepper into long strips and place two slices as "lips." Position sliced olives above as "eyes." Enjoy!

2. Monster mouth apple treats

You'll need: apples, peanut butter, a knife, and mini marshmallows.

Slice the apple into long thin slices. Spread peanut butter between two apple slices. Place mini marshmallows between the slices to look like "teeth" — the apple slices become the "lips." Serve and enjoy!

You'll need: graham crackers, marshmallow fluff, and chocolate icing or sauce.

4. Spider donuts

You'll need: mini chocolate donuts, mini pretzel twists, Nutella, red M&Ms, and chocolate sprinkles.

Break mini pretzel twists in half. Push 8 pretzel pieces into each donut — 4 on each side — as spider legs. Place two red M&Ms on the "front" as eyes. Cover the donut in chocolate sprinkles to give it a hairy spider look.

5. Toxic waste Jell-O cups

You'll need: lime Jell-O, gummy worms, whipped cream, and transparent plastic cups.

Prepare the lime Jell-O and pour ½ cup into each plastic cup. Place one or two gummy worms in the Jell-O and refrigerate for four hours. Once set, add whipped cream on top. Place a final gummy worm in the whipped cream so one end dips in and the other hangs over the edge of the cup. Serve and enjoy!
